STAR OF THE MONTH - ILYAS KAZEEM ABIODUN



ILYAS ABIODUN KAZEEM

Masha Allah, our STAR of the month is none other than ILIASU ABIODUN KAZEEM.
Iliasu was born on the 31st of December in Oyo state where he hails from and had both his primary and secondary school education. He proceeded to the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) where he studied law and blazed many trials that can only be celebrated. Alhamdulilah.
He studied Common and Islamic Law and broke the long standing record by obtaining a first Class degree from the faculty. Prior to attaining this commendable result, Iliasu had engaged himself in several extra curricular activities that marked him for greatness, famous among which are been a participant at the Vismoot International Commercial Arbitration Moot Training in Legon Ghana, participating as a Researcher in the National Schools Moot Court Competition in South Africa and several of such competitions within and outside Nigeria.

Iliasu was also the Chief Justice of the Students' Union in the University of Ilorin from 2011-2012, Head of Moot and Debate Team of the Faculty of Law UNILORIN, Leader of the Legal Aid clinic of the Faculty, Chairman of the constitutional Drafting Committee of Equity Chambers Faculty of Law.

His many feats haven't gone unnoticed, he was awarded the best debater of the faculty of law in 2010, the Obafemi Awolowo university also adjudged him the best counsel/advocate in the maiden edition of the F.F Tabai JSC National Moot competition in 2011, and since 2009 to 2013 when he graduated, he was the university scholar from his faculty. Masha Allah.

As Iliasu awaits admission to the Nigerian Law school where he hopes to continue his feats, he interns at Akanbi and Wigwe Legal Practitioners in Ajele Street Lagos where he is harnessing his skills and learning the ropes in the hope of being one of the judges of the International Court of Justice In sha Allah.

Join me in celebrating our dear brother, he has done well by Allah's permission. we pray for Allah's protection, guidance and mercy for him. We pray Allah continues to increase him in knowledge, we pray also for long life for him, so that he can achieve all he has aspired to, all to the glory of Islam.
