Praise be to Allah for the grace to witness Rajab. The seventh month of our calender, the first of the four sacred months, and the month generally known as Allah's month. Alhamdulilah.
When ever the prophet Muhammad SAW sighted the moon of Rajab, he always recited the following prayer:
"Allahuma Barik lana bi Rajab-a wa Shaban-a wa balligna shahru Ramadan"
"O Allah, make the months of Rajab and Shaban blessed for us and let us witness the month of Ramadan.
Ameen.
Having had the grace to witness this month, I have resolved to make the best of it, just as I presume you have too. Preparation for Ramadan should start now. I usually take out time to write down all I want to do during the month of Ramadan. I can always import the idea to this month. In sha Allah all better deeds till Ramadan and beyond Insha Allah will start from now. May Allah forgive us our sins and make the path to paradise an easy one for us. Ameen.
In subsequent posts, there will be highlights on historical events that occurred at different times during the month of Rajab, as well as a very inspiring story of a highway robber. Do keep it a date.
